JOB SUMMARY:

An individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below represent the required knowledge, skill, and ability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(Other duties may be assigned.) Understands and ensures compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures. Checks the progress of each repair order throughout the day. Maintains high-quality service repairs and minimizes comebacks. Road tests vehicles to quality-check work performed. Accounts for all documents; ensures that all are present and processed correctly. Establishes customer follow-up program to confirm satisfaction with service experience. Ensures the proper care, storage, and inventory of special tools. Keeps abreast of new equipment and tools available and recommends purchases. Maintains a safe work environment.

BASIC SKILLS

Able to perform basic math (addition and subtraction). Able to problem-solve and/or troubleshoot situational challenges. Able to interpret oral and documented instruction. Exceptional mechanical skills and hand coordination, with minimal assistance needed. Being detail-oriented is a must. Critical thinking skills are required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Able to lift 75 pounds. Able to stand and walk for 2-3-hour intervals. Able to work in an environment with moderate to loud noise. Able to use hands and fingers for product handling. Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts, machinery, and tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent education required. Valid driver's license required. Prefer experience in OSHA, MSHA, DOT, and EPA regulatory requirements. Excellent Computer, communication, and training skills. Prefer experience re-gearing vehicles. Experience with 4X4/off-road builds preferred. Professional toolbox and tools recommended.

REQUIREMENTS

4 years minimum employment as an auto mechanic in a repair shop. Initial probationary week during which candidates' skill sets are assessed. A background check will be conducted following a conditional offer of employment, in accordance with California law.
