Auto Repair Technician Fast Fix Auto Repair Rancho Cucamonga, CA Job Details Full-time $36 - $40 an hour 21 hours ago Qualifications Driver's License Hand tools Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team in providing exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in automotive repair, including dealership experience, and possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical diagnostics, and various vehicle components. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality workmanship and efficient service. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain components. Service vehicles with oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, and wheel balancing. Repair diesel engines and heavy equipment as needed, utilizing specialized knowledge of diesel mechanics and air brake systems. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical repair tools to complete tasks efficiently. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex automotive problems. Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and communicate findings clearly to service advisor. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in vehicle maintenance inspections and recommend necessary repairs or replacements to service advisor. Qualifications Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with dealership or independent shop background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including powertrain, electrical systems, suspension, brakes, and transmissions. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery safely and effectively. Knowledge of engine repair and air brake systems is a plus. Valid driver's license preferred; relevant certifications such as ASE certification are advantageous.
