Superior Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing, Inc. is a trusted provider of commercial trade services, supporting our clients with various construction projects. We are currently seeking an Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The Automotive Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and inspections on a variety of gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, stake beds, trucks, vans, and construction equipment. Schedule Monday - Friday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Responsibilities Conduct routine vehicle maintenance, including oil and filter changes, tune-ups, brake and shock replacements Perform work from floor creepers, two-post lifts, jack stands or in-ground lifts Inspect and diagnose engines, transmissions, and other components using diagnostic tools and equipment Troubleshoot equipment and vehicle performance problems Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and internal teams to provide updates on repair status and material requirements Ensure a clean and safe work environment while strictly adhering to all safety protocols Perform test drives of vehicles in compliance with company guidelines Assist with additional duties as needed to support departmental operations

Requirements:

Minimum of three years of recent and relevant experience as an automotive mechanic Proficient in English communication, with the ability to write reports and emails clearly and effectively Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly throughout the shift Valid driver's license Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and motor vehicle background check About the Company Superior Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing, Inc. is a commercial service and construction company with over 20 years of experience delivering high-quality electrical and plumbing solutions across California and other states.
