In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between our customers and our service department, ensuring a smooth, transparent, and positive experience. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and excellent customer service skills will help drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine technical understanding with sales acumen, contributing to the overall success of our service operations. Duties Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs Write detailed service orders and estimates using auto estimating software, clearly explaining recommended repairs and maintenance Collaborate with technicians to diagnose vehicle issues accurately, leveraging mechanic experience and automotive diagnostics skills Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, transmissions, and more when appropriate Manage cash handling responsibilities efficiently while maintaining accuracy in billing and invoicing Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work Maintain comprehensive records of customer interactions, vehicle history, and service details for future reference Foster positive relationships with customers through excellent communication and follow-up to ensure satisfaction and repeat business Qualifications Proven automotive service-writing experience or background in auto service management is required Strong knowledge of automotive repair procedures including oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension work, brake repair, transmissions, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repair Experience with automotive diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Proficiency in auto estimating software and sales techniques for sales services Mechanical knowledge combined with service writing expertise to accurately assess vehicle needs Ability to handle cash transactions responsibly while maintaining accuracy in billing processes Familiarity with automotive sales processes is a plus but not required Join us if you're passionate about cars and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences!
