$18.00-$25.00 per hour (DOE) Job Summary Gomez Auto Repair is looking for a dependable and hardworking General Service Technician / Shop Assistant to join our team. This position focuses primarily on performing oil changes, assisting with quality control inspections, maintaining shop cleanliness, and supporting daily shop operations. Responsibilities Perform oil changes and basic maintenance services. Conduct quality control (QC) checks to ensure vehicles are ready for customer delivery. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe at all times. Take out trash and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the facility. Pick up automotive parts and supplies as needed. Drive customers home or provide local customer transportation when requested. Move and park vehicles safely around the shop. Assist technicians and management with miscellaneous shop tasks. Follow daily assignments and complete tasks efficiently. Provide friendly and professional customer service. Requirements Previous experience performing oil changes is preferred. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to safely operate customer vehicles. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but not required. Benefits Competitive pay based on experience.
