In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Your enthusiasm and mechanical knowledge will help guide clients through their automotive needs, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from initial consultation to vehicle pickup. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Explain recommended services and repairs clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and options tailored to each customer. Coordinate with technicians and service teams to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, transmission diagnostics, or diesel engine repairs to maximize customer satisfaction and dealership revenue. Manage service writing tasks efficiently, including creating work orders and processing invoices while maintaining precise records of all transactions. Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly while maintaining a professional attitude at all times. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to answer customer questions confidently. Qualifications Proven experience in a dealership environment or auto service management role is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, suspension components, tire service, diesel engines, and auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally. Experience in auto estimating software and service writing is advantageous. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers. Previous experience with auto sales or automobile sales processes is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in cash handling and record keeping.
