In person About Club Sportiva Club Sportiva is Silicon Valley's country club for car enthusiasts and an event center for all. We provide members with access to an extraordinary collection of performance and exotic vehicles, curated automotive events and experiences, managed car services, and an exclusive 18,000+ square-foot event venue. Our Managed Car Services help members enjoy their vehicles without the inconvenience of coordinating maintenance, transportation, detailing, storage, and other ownership responsibilities themselves. We are seeking a mechanically knowledgeable, service-oriented automotive professional to lead these services and help grow this important part of our membership experience. Position Overview The Head of Automotive Operations & Managed Car Services is a hands-on leadership position combining the responsibilities of an automotive service advisor, vehicle operations manager, and member-service professional. This person will serve as the primary point of contact for members who need assistance caring for, maintaining, transporting, storing, or preparing their vehicles. The successful candidate must be able to assess a member's needs, recommend and sell the appropriate services, coordinate the work, and personally perform many of the services when appropriate. This is not a desk-only management position. The role requires someone who is equally comfortable speaking with a member about a valuable exotic vehicle, loading that vehicle onto a trailer, performing a mechanical inspection, completing minor repairs, detailing the vehicle, and ensuring it is ready for delivery. The ideal candidate has automotive service-advisor instincts, practical mechanical ability, strong organizational skills, and the polish required to serve discerning members and high-end clientele. Key ResponsibilitiesManaged Car Services and Sales Serve as the primary service advisor for Club Sportiva members and their personally owned vehicles Consult with members to understand their vehicle-care, maintenance, transportation, storage, and preparation needs Recommend and sell appropriate Managed Car Services based on each member's vehicle and circumstances Prepare service recommendations, estimates, work orders, and member communications Proactively identify additional services that will protect the vehicle, improve its condition, or make ownership more convenient Clearly explain mechanical concerns, service options, costs, and timelines Build long-term member relationships through responsiveness, expertise, honesty, and follow-through Help develop service packages, operating procedures, pricing recommendations, and opportunities to grow Managed Car Services revenue Automotive Operations Inspect member and Club Sportiva vehicles and document their condition Identify visible mechanical issues, maintenance needs, warning lights, fluid concerns, tire wear, battery problems, and other readiness items Perform routine maintenance, minor repairs, and light mechanical work within the candidate's experience and capabilities Diagnose basic vehicle concerns and determine when work should be referred to a specialized repair facility Coordinate outside mechanics, dealerships, detailers, body shops, tire shops, and other automotive vendors Monitor repair quality, cost, and completion timelines Track maintenance schedules, registrations, service records, repair history, and upcoming vehicle needs Conduct vehicle readiness and safety inspections before rentals, member use, events, or delivery Maintain appropriate standards when working around exotic, luxury, classic, and high-performance vehicles Vehicle Transportation and Logistics Safely transport vehicles to and from members, service providers, events, storage locations, and Club Sportiva Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles using a truck and open or enclosed trailer Coordinate pickups and deliveries while maintaining accurate schedules and vehicle condition records Use proper procedures when handling low-clearance, high-value, manual-transmission, exotic, and performance vehicles Maintain transport equipment, tie-downs, trailers, tools, and related supplies Ensure every vehicle is handled carefully, professionally, and securely Detailing and Vehicle Presentation (Management of Team + Individual Contribution if necessary) Wash, clean, detail, and prepare vehicles to luxury presentation standards Perform or coordinate interior detailing, exterior detailing, paint care, and vehicle protection services Inspect completed work and correct presentation issues before returning vehicles to members Ensure Club Sportiva vehicles are clean, fueled or charged, properly staged, and ready for use Maintain detailing equipment, products, supplies, and work areas Member Experience and Hospitality Provide responsive, professional, and personalized service to Club Sportiva members Communicate service status, changes, delays, and recommendations clearly and proactively Handle member vehicles and personal property with discretion and care Maintain a polished and welcoming club environment Support member drives, automotive experiences, partner activations, and special events Represent Club Sportiva professionally when interacting with members, vendors, partners, and guests Team and Facility Operations Help establish and maintain consistent standards for vehicle care, documentation, safety, and service delivery Prioritize daily automotive work and coordinate responsibilities with other Club Sportiva team members Maintain organized automotive workspaces, vehicle-storage areas, tools, supplies, keys, and records Assist with event setup, operations, vehicle displays, and breakdown when needed Help maintain high presentation and operational standards throughout the facility Take ownership of problems and ensure member requests are completed properly from beginning to end Required Qualifications Practical automotive knowledge and demonstrated mechanical aptitude Experience in automotive service, vehicle maintenance, repair, detailing, fleet operations, or a related field Ability to perform vehicle inspections, routine maintenance, and minor mechanical repairs Ability to recognize when a vehicle requires specialized diagnosis or professional repair Strong customer-service and consultative sales skills Ability to recommend and sell automotive services without using high-pressure sales tactics Experience safely operating a variety of vehicles, including manual-transmission vehicles Clean driving record and valid driver's license Comfortable driving a truck and towing a vehicle trailer, or able to become fully proficient through training Comfortable using hand tools, automotive tools, detailing equipment, and basic diagnostic equipment Excellent organization, documentation, and follow-through Strong verbal and written communication skills Professional appearance and ability to interact confidently with high-end clientele Reliable, punctual, resourceful, and willing to perform hands-on work Ability to manage multiple vehicles, deadlines, vendors, and member requests simultaneously Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, and Calendar Ability to safely lift and move automotive equipment, supplies, wheels, and related materials Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends for member needs and events Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as an automotive service advisor, service writer, shop foreman, technician, fleet manager, or automotive operations manager Professional automotive technician training or relevant certifications Experience working with exotic, luxury, classic, or high-performance vehicles Experience transporting vehicles using open or enclosed trailers Professional detailing or paint-correction experience Familiarity with scan tools, battery maintainers, tire equipment, and vehicle diagnostic procedures Existing relationships with local dealerships, repair shops, detailers, transporters, or automotive vendors Experience serving luxury brands, private clients, collectors, or high-net-worth
