Job Description
Overview AutoBros Performance is looking for an Automotive Technician to join our team in San Mateo. We specialize in European makes and models such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, VW, but we welcome techs with experience across all makes and models. You'll be diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles with care and precision, and helping us build a shop our customers can really trust! Responsibilities Perform diagnostics using professional grade tools to accurately identify issues across vehicle systems Handle heavy line work: engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and suspension Read wiring diagrams and technical manuals to complete repairs correctly Perform routine service like oil changes, tire rotations, brake jobs — to a high standard Use hand tools, power tools, and specialty automotive tools Keep work area smooth and safe, communicate any findings clearly to the team and make the customers happy! What You Bring Shop or dealership experience, ideally with European makes (but all backgrounds welcome) BYOT - Bring your own tools! - some specialty tools provided. Strong diagnostic skills — schematics, electrical troubleshooting etc... Solid mechanical fundamentals across multiple makes and models Experience with repair and and powertrain/transmission repair Comfort with shop management software (we run TekMetric) and clear customer communication Ability to work independently or as part of a team Attention to detail and pride in doing the job right We're a growing shop that invests in our people!
