Full Job Description Trailer Repair Technician Pay:
$22-$35 per hour, depending on experienceLocation:
South Gate, CA —Main Yard & Local On-Site Repair Locations Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00PM Overtime:
Available, including occasional Saturdays About the Position We are looking for a reliable and motivated Trailer Repair Technician to join our team. We work on a variety of commercial trailers and provide repairs both at our main yard in South Gate and at local customer locations. No previous experience is required — we are willing to train the right person. Experienced trailer technicians are also encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Depending on your experience and training, your responsibilities may include: Repair and maintenance of 53' dry van, reefer, and chassis trailers Trailer electrical troubleshooting and repairs Welding and fabrication Brake and air system repairs Preventative maintenance (PM) FMCSA/DOT and BIT inspections Trailer body and structural repairs Reefer trailer repairs and maintenance Thermo King and Carrier reefer unit service and troubleshooting Trailer clean-outs and general maintenance Inspecting trailers to identify needed repairs Performing mobile/on-site repairs at local customer locations Maintaining a clean and safe work area Communicating effectively with coworkers, customers, and management Qualifications Valid driver's license required No prior trailer repair experience required — we will train Previous trailer, truck, diesel, refrigeration, welding, or mechanical experience is a plus Experience with Thermo King or Carrier reefer units is a plus Experience performingFMCSA/BIT
