Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Light Duty Fleet Mechanic to perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a fleet of light-duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will have experience working on cars, pickup trucks, vans, and other light-duty equipment while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine preventive maintenance, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and fluid services. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using diagnostic equipment and repair manuals. Repair and replace components such as brakes, suspension parts, steering components, batteries, belts, hoses, and lighting systems. Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure fleet safety and compliance with company standards. Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and maintenance logs. Test-drive vehicles to verify repairs and identify performance concerns. Assist with emergency roadside repairs when required. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
2+ years of automotive or light-duty fleet maintenance experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to diagnose and repair gasoline-powered vehicles; diesel experience is a plus. Familiarity with diagnostic scan tools and computerized maintenance systems. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a shop environment.
