Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a dependable, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Trailer Service and Parts Technician . This position is responsible for performing trailer service and repairs, maintaining parts inventory, supporting dealership operations, and ensuring our trailer lot is organized and customer-ready. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced dealership environment. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot and repair trailers while also assisting with parts management and lot operations as business needs require. ResponsibilitiesService & Shop Duties Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair trailer electrical, brake, suspension, axles, bearing, wheel, tire, hydraulics. Perform routine trailer maintenance, including brake service, bearing packs, inspections, preventative maintenance, and some fabrication. Install trailer accessories and customer-requested upgrades, including hitches, jacks, toolboxes, spare tire mounts, and other equipment. Complete pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new trailers to manufacturer and dealership standards. Test and verify repairs to ensure trailers are safe and ready for customer use. Accurately document completed repairs, parts used, and labor performed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe service work area. Trailer Lot Duties Move, stage, and organize trailers on the lot. Load and unload trailers safely. Wash, clean, and prepare trailers for display and delivery. Perform lot inspections and basic maintenance to ensure trailers remain showroom-ready. Keep the dealership lot clean, organized, and presentable at all times. Parts & Inventory Duties Receive, inspect, stock, and organize incoming parts shipments. Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts. Pull and stage parts for customer purchases and service work orders. Assist with parts ordering, returns, and warranty claims. Operate inventory software and maintain accurate records. Keep the parts department clean, organized, and efficiently stocked. Customer Support Assist customers with parts inquiries, purchases, and basic service questions. Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone. Coordinate with the sales, service, and parts departments to ensure timely completion of customer orders. Help deliver a positive customer experience from arrival through pickup. Qualifications Mechanical aptitude required; trailer, automotive, agriculture, heavy equipment, or diesel experience preferred. Welding and fabrication experience preferred Ability to diagnose and perform basic mechanical and electrical repairs. Ability to safely operate trucks, forklifts, and trailers (or willingness to learn). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with minimal supervision. Basic computer skills; experience with inventory management software is a plus. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Pay:
$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
