Mechanic National Pavement Partners United States, Colorado, Denver 4985 Ironton Street (Show on map) Sep 01, 2026 Job Summary - We are seeking an experienced and reliable Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles and construction equipment. This role is essential to keeping our fleet safe, reliable, and operating at peak performance. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Key Responsibilities - Perform routine maintenance and inspections on company vehicles and equipment (e.g., trucks, skid steers, pavers, rollers)

Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and recommend corrective actions

Complete repairs including engine work, brake systems, electrical wiring, hydraulic components, and preventive maintenance

Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and parts inventory logs

Order parts, supplies, and materials needed for repairs

Operate diagnostic tools and equipment safely and effectively

Ensure shop area and tools are clean, organized, and maintained

Assist with emergency repairs in the field as needed

Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA regulations

Communicate clearly with supervisors and operators about equipment status and repairs

Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 2+ years of experience as a mechanic or technician, preferably in construction or heavy equipment

Must be at least 18 years of age

Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components

Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and diagnostic codes

Skilled in using diagnostic tools and hand/power tools

Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus

ASE certifications or vocational training preferred but not required

Have their own set of tools and hand/power tools

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Ability to work long hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed
