Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical components, and suspension. Specialize in diesel engine repair and powertrain servicing to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Execute wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and auto body repairs as needed. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive repair tools safely and effectively. Maintain detailed service records, complete repair reports, and communicate clearly with customers about their vehicle's needs. Requirements Valid certification as an Automotive Service Technician or equivalent from an accredited program. Proven mechanic experience with dealership or independent repair shop backgrounds preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across automotive systems including electrical, fuel, braking, steering, and suspension. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics software and schematics interpretation. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous. Ability to perform diesel engine repairs and work with complex powertrain components. Knowledge of ADAS systems calibration, wheel alignment procedures, and auto body repair techniques is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Commitment to safety protocols and proper use of maintenance tools and equipment.
