In this vital role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain mechanical systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and steering components. Conduct oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and vehicle maintenance to ensure optimal performance. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for mechanical repairs and auto body work when necessary. Work with diesel engines and heavy equipment mechanics on specialized repairs such as diesel engine repair and air brake systems. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems efficiently. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and offering maintenance recommendations to clients. Requirements Proven experience working in the automotive repair industry with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical systems repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially with GM vehicles or similar brands. Knowledge of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto electrical systems, welding, and auto estimating is a plus. Familiarity with schematics, vehicle maintenance procedures, and powertrain components is essential. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively. Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle types including light vehicles and heavy equipment. Valid certification or license as an automotive mechanic; ASE certification is desirable.
