Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Automotive Technician / Mechanic - All Levels Kaiser Buick GMC Truck Inc. is looking to hire Automotive Technicians / Mechanics. We're ideally looking for level A & B Technicians, but if you are a level C Tech / Entry level Tech we will help train and are willing to teach if you have the aptitude. We will really consider canidates if trained on diesel engines and transmissions. The Automotive Service Technician is responsible for swiftly and accurately performing automotive repairs including engine management systems, fuel management systems, transmission, electrical alignment, steering, suspension, brakes, etc. Automotive Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities

• Must be able to complete all phases of Automotive repair
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies and procedures.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, alignment, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Perform vehicle inspections
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications. Automotive Technician/Mechanic Qualifications
• Previous Automotive Technician experience
• Mechanically inclined
• Must have your own tools
• ASE certifications preferred
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
