excellence isn't an option, it's a requirement. The Role We're looking for an experienced Automotive Technician who takes pride in diagnosing problems correctly the first time. You'll work on a steady mix of high-end imports and domestic vehicles, handling everything from advanced electrical diagnostics to transmission and A/C service. This is a hands-on role in a professional shop where accurate diagnosis and clean, thorough work matter more than rushing tickets out the door. Job Duties & Responsibilities Perform diagnostic testing on engine, drivetrain, electrical, and emissions systems using factory-level and aftermarket scan tools, multimeters, and oscilloscopes Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults, including sensors, wiring harnesses, control modules, and communication networks Service and repair automatic, dual-clutch, and DSG transmissions, including fluid service, component replacement, and adaptation resets Perform brake service such as pad and rotor replacement, rotor resurfacing, hydraulic repairs, and ABS diagnostics Complete oil, filter, and fluid services using OEM-spec synthetic products and reset applicable service indicators Diagnose and repair A/C and cooling systems, including refrigerant recovery and recharge, compressor and evaporator service, radiators, water pumps, and thermostats Carry out scheduled maintenance and multi-point inspections, documenting findings and recommending needed repairs Perform suspension, steering, and alignment-related repairs as assigned Communicate diagnoses and recommendations to the service advisor in plain language the customer can understand Road test vehicles before and after repair to verify complaints and confirm the fix Follow manufacturer service procedures, torque specifications, and technical service bulletins Perform software updates, programming, and module coding where applicable Maintain a clean, organized work bay and protect customer vehicles (seat covers, floor mats, fender covers) at all times Properly handle and dispose of oils, refrigerants, coolants, and other hazardous materials per EPA and shop policy Maintain personal hand tools and use shop equipment safely and correctly Stay current on evolving vehicle technology through training and certification Follow all safety procedures and support a professional shop environment Qualifications Required 3+ years of professional automotive repair experience (import experience strongly preferred) Proven diagnostic ability on modern electrical and electronic systems Own set of professional hand tools Valid Florida driver's license with an acceptable driving record Ability to read wiring diagrams and interpret factory service information High school diploma or equivalent Preferred ASE certifications (A1-A8 or Master Technician) Any Factory training on European brands (BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi/VW, Porsche, Land Rover/Jaguar) Any Experience with factory-level diagnostic platforms (ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS, PIWIS, or equivalent) Bilingual English/Spanish Physical Requirements Standing, bending, kneeling, and working overhead for extended periods; lifting up to 50 lbs; working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, heat, and automotive fluids.
