Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive Mechanic to join our dynamic service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaves our shop in optimal condition, providing our customers with safe, reliable transportation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse automotive systems, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in vehicle care. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs on various vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain systems. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to uphold safety standards. Repair and replace critical parts like air brakes, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and auto body components as needed. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for mechanical repairs while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to facilitate precise repairs on GM vehicles and other makes/models. Maintain detailed records of all services performed and communicate effectively Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles. Knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, ADAS technology, and schematics. Skilled in diesel engine repair, auto estimating, welding, and working with powertrain components. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, alignment equipment, and other automotive service tools. Mechanical knowledge covering transmissions, suspension systems, tire service, brake repair, shocks & struts. Ability to read technical manuals and interpret schematics accurately. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain repairs clearly and professionally.
