Jenkins Landscape is seeking an Assistant Mechanic to help maintain and repair our fleet of landscape equipment, trucks, and trailers. Competitive pay based on experience Full-time, year-round employment Paid vacation and holidays Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Company-provided uniforms Employee incentive programs Family-friendly work environment Opportunities for advancement and promotion from within Work alongside experienced mechanics and continue developing your skills What You'll Do Assist with maintenance and repairs on landscape equipment, trucks, and trailers Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently Help diagnose mechanical issues and support repair efforts Maintain accurate service records and work orders Organize tools, parts, and shop inventory Pick up parts and supplies as needed Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop Assist with basic facility maintenance projects What We're Looking For Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn Experience with small engines, automotive, diesel, landscaping equipment, or related mechanical work is a plus Ability to safely use hand and power tools Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Basic computer or mobile device skills for work orders and maintenance records Valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform physical laborincluding lifting up to 50 pounds, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in varying weather conditionswith or without accommodation Build a Career With Us At Jenkins Landscape Company, many of our leaders started in entry-level positions and advanced through hard work and dedication.
