We are a family-owned and operated semi-trailer dealership that has served the transportation industry since 1977. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, can diagnose and repair trailer issues efficiently, and wants to be part of a stable, professional team. This position focuses primarily on the inspection, maintenance, and repair of semi-trailers . This is not a diesel engine mechanic position. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain semi-trailers Perform DOT inspections and preventative maintenance Repair and replace trailer brake components Diagnose and repair air brake and air system issues Perform suspension, axle, wheel-end, and landing gear repairs Repair trailer doors, roofs, floors, side panels, and structural components Diagnose and repair trailer lighting and electrical systems Perform minor and major trailer body repairs Complete welding and fabrication work as needed Properly document repairs performed and parts used Communicate additional repair needs to the Service Department Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Follow company safety procedures and shop policies Qualifications Previous semi-trailer repair or related heavy-equipment experience preferred Knowledge of air brake systems, suspensions, electrical systems, and trailer components Welding and fabrication experience strongly preferred Ability to diagnose problems and complete repairs with limited supervision Must have your own basic hand tools Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to safely lift, climb, bend, kneel, and work in and around trailers Dependable attendance and strong work ethic Experience with Utility, Great Dane, Wabash, Hyundai, Stoughton, Fontaine, Landoll, or other commercial trailers is a plus. What We're Looking For We aren't looking for someone who simply changes parts. We want a technician who can identify the problem, determine the proper repair, and complete quality work efficiently .
