Job Description

CDL Class A Driver / Shop Technician We are seeking a dependable CDL Class A Driver who is willing to be part of a team both on the road and in the shop. This position includes truck driving, equipment transportation, light mechanical work, and general shop responsibilities. Responsibilities Safely operate a tractor-trailer truck Proper text activity while not in motion Report any issues or incidents to dispatch Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections Secure and transport construction materials and equipment Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed Maintain clean and organized trucks, trailers, and work areas Perform basic maintenance and repair work on construction equipment Diagnose and repair small engines, including generators, pumps, saws, and other equipment Assist with routine service, preventative maintenance, and equipment inspections Keep accurate maintenance and repair records Support general shop operations and yard organization Assist mechanics and other team members with equipment repairs and shop projects Qualifications Minimum 3 years of CDL Class A driving experience required Valid Commercial Class A Driver's License Manual transmission experience required Ability to safely secure and transport equipment and materials Mechanical aptitude and experience with small engines preferred Experience performing basic equipment maintenance and repairs preferred Forklift experience preferred Heavy equipment operation experience a plus Hazmat endorsement a plus Ability to perform physically demanding work Strong work ethic and positive attitude English speaking required; bilingual a plus Ability to work independently and as part of a team Two or more Saturdays per month required, with additional Saturday availability preferred Drug screening and background check required What We Offer Average of 10 hours of overtime per week Yearly pay evaluations Annual bonus opportunities Stable, long-term employment A solid company where many employees have worked for 10+ years Join a team that values hard work, reliability, and employees who take pride in both their driving and mechanical abilities.
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour
