Automotive Part Puller / Auto Dismantler (Part-Time)

[$16.00 - $18.00 per hour, based on experience] About the Role We are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined Automotive Part Puller to join our busy Orlando salvage yard on a part-time basis. This is a great opportunity for automotive students, semi-retired mechanics, or anyone looking for supplemental income with a flexible schedule. You will be responsible for safely removing requested auto parts from salvage vehicles to fill customer orders and stock our inventory. If you know your way around a toolbox and don't mind getting your hands dirty working outdoors, we want to hear from you.

Flexible Scheduling Key Responsibilities Part Extraction:

Safely and efficiently remove specific parts (e.g., alternators, body panels, sensors) from various makes and models using hand and power tools.

Quality Control:

Inspect pulled parts for damage or excessive wear to ensure they meet our quality standards.

Order Fulfillment:

Read and fulfill customer work orders accurately and efficiently.

Yard Safety:

Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, properly disposing of hazardous vehicle fluids when necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements Experience:

Basic knowledge of automotive parts and systems is required. Previous experience in auto repair, tinkering, or a salvage yard is strongly preferred.

Tools:

Must possess your own basic set of automotive hand tools (specialty tools, hoists, and heavy equipment provided by us).

Reliability:

Dependable and capable of working independently with minimal supervision during your scheduled shifts.

Language:

Basic ability to read and write in English to process orders (bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus in the Orlando area).

Physical Demands & Work Environment Heavy Lifting:

Must be able to safely lift, carry, and maneuver parts weighing up to 50 lbs.

Physical Stamina:

The role requires continuous standing, bending, kneeling, and reaching.

Weather Tolerance:
