Apply Pickup Truck Mechanic The Kearney Companies Apply Description The Kearney Companies is a Site & Utilities Contractor based in Riverview, FL. Recent growth has led to opportunities to join our established civil construction company in the Brandon/Riverview area. Job Summary The Pickup Truck Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of company pickup trucks, including Ford and Chevrolet models. This position focuses on keeping vehicles safe, reliable, and ready for daily operations. Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on pickup trucks, including oil changes, brakes, tires, and filters
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues
- Inspect vehicles to ensure safe and proper operation
- Repair or replace parts such as belts, hoses, batteries, lights, starters, and alternators
- Ensure safety equipment is functional (lights, signals, seat belts, horns)
- Complete service and maintenance records accurately
- Communicate vehicle conditions and repair needs to the Equipment Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow company safety standards and shop procedures
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Maintain and repair cooling systems and powertrain systems Requirements Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Experience working on pickup trucks (Ford, Dodge/Ram, Chevrolet, or similar)
- Knowledge of gasoline engines and vehicle systems
- Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliable, team oriented, and safety focused
- Willingness to work overtime or weekends as needed Experience
- 1-3 years experience as a mechanic or automotive technician preferred
- Pickup truck or automotive repair experience required
- Heavy truck experience not required Benefits
