If you are great with customers, understand automotive repair, and know how to build trust while recommending needed services, we want to hear from you! The Service Advisor is responsible for creating an excellent customer experience while working closely with our technicians to ensure vehicles are diagnosed and repaired accurately and efficiently. Responsibilities Greet customers and professionally document vehicle concerns. Write accurate repair orders and estimates. Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle diagnosis and repair needs. Explain recommended repairs, maintenance, pricing, and repair timelines to customers. Obtain authorization for repairs and additional services. Keep customers updated throughout the repair process. Review completed work with customers and explain repairs performed. Recommend preventive maintenance and additional repairs when appropriate. Follow up on declined services and future maintenance needs. Coordinate vehicle scheduling and workflow with technicians. Maintain accurate customer and repair-order information. Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally. Help meet shop goals for sales, customer satisfaction, productivity, and profitability. Qualifications Previous automotive Service Advisor, Service Writer, or related experience preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair. Excellent communication and customer-service skills. Ability to explain automotive repairs in a clear, easy-to-understand way. Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable using computers and automotive shop management software. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Valid driver's license. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is honest, dependable, organized, and customer-focused . You should be comfortable recommending repairs without using high-pressure sales tactics and understand that earning a customer's trust is the foundation of a successful independent repair shop. We are looking for someone who wants to build long-term relationships with customers and become an important part of our team , not simply process repair orders.
