Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including powertrain, transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems). Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to execute repairs efficiently. Execute wheel alignments and suspension adjustments to ensure proper vehicle handling and safety standards. Service vehicles by replacing parts, repairing electrical systems, and performing engine overhauls or transmission repairs as needed. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and auto estimating software to determine repair procedures and costs. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and communicate findings clearly to customers. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive service technician background with a focus on automotive diagnostics and repairs. Strong mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including powertrain components, electrical systems, transmissions, and diesel engines. Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, ADAS calibration, wheel alignment equipment, and powertrain repairs. Familiarity with GM vehicles or similar makes is a plus; experience with auto estimating software is preferred. Demonstrated ability to use schematics effectively for troubleshooting complex vehicle issues. Customer service skills that foster positive interactions with clients while explaining repairs clearly. Prior welding experience or familiarity with automotive maintenance procedures is advantageous.
