In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service technicians, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and service writing will help accurately assess vehicle needs, recommend appropriate repairs, and communicate effectively with customers. Responsibilities Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs. Provide detailed explanations of necessary repairs and maintenance services, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, transmissions, and diesel engine repairs. Prepare precise auto estimates using dealership or shop management software, ensuring transparency and clarity for customers. Upsell additional services or repairs based on vehicle diagnostics and mechanical assessments to maximize customer value and shop revenue. Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services. Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate records of all service orders and payments. Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive repair procedures, including auto body repair, air brake systems, alignment, shocks & struts, and other specialized services. Skills Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer relations. Extensive mechanic experience with expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures. Skilled in auto estimating software and proficient in automotive service writing to ensure clear communication of repairs. Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining integrity and customer trust. Knowledge of a wide range of automotive systems including transmissions, oil changes, tire service, suspension, brakes, diesel engines, shocks & struts, auto body repair, air brakes, alignment, and more. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and strong communication abilities. Experience in auto sales or automobile sales is a plus for promoting vehicle upgrades or trade-ins.
