This is a high-paying, high-production position for someone who knows transmissions, understands diagnostics, and knows how a dealership operates. Pay & Production $45-$65 per flat-rate hour based on experience and skill level Paid weekly Our previous transmission technician averaged approximately 80-90 flat-rate hours per week while working roughly 40-45 clock hours. This is a legitimate opportunity for the right technician to produce and earn at a high level. What We're Looking For We need someone with strong domestic vehicle and dealership experience who can handle both the mechanical side of the job and the paperwork/process required to get the job paid.
You should be comfortable with:
Diagnosing automatic and manual transmission concerns Transmission R&R and internal transmission repairs Drivability diagnosis Electrical and computer-controlled transmission systems OEM scan tools and diagnostic equipment Reading and understanding wiring diagrams Using OEM service information and repair procedures Diagnosing before replacing parts Following manufacturer repair procedures and specifications Properly documenting diagnostic findings and repairs Understanding dealership warranty procedures Properly managing punch times and repair order time Meeting manufacturer documentation and claim requirements Working efficiently while maintaining quality repairs The Right Person We're looking for someone who has proven experience , shows up, produces, and takes pride in their work. You need to understand how flat rate works and know how to make the most of your time without sacrificing quality. This is NOT an entry-level position. Domestic vehicle experience is strongly preferred. GM experience is a plus. You must have your own professional tools and a valid driver's license.
