Comercial Truck Tire and Lube Mechanic

Key Responsibilities Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and lubrication. Inspect and service tires, including mounting, balancing, rotating, repairing, and replacing. Conduct basic mechanical inspections to identify wear, leaks, or potential issues. Check and maintain proper fluid levels (coolant, transmission, differential, power steering, etc.). Assist with brake inspections and minor brake component replacements. Document all work performed using shop software or service forms. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow all safety procedures and use proper personal protective equipment. Support diesel technicians with basic tasks as needed. Communicate clearly with supervisors and team members about vehicle conditions and required repairs. Required Skills & Qualifications Basic understanding of diesel engines, truck systems, and preventative maintenance. Ability to operate shop tools and equipment (tire machines, air tools, lifts, torque wrenches). Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's license. Previous experience in a diesel, automotive, or tire shop environment preferred but not always required.
