Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Powered Industrial Vehicle Technician to join our maintenance team for the first and second shifts. This role is essential in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of a wide range of heavy equipment, including forklifts, .and specialized Material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with heavy equipment repair, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on equipment performance and operational excellence. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on powered industrial vehicles such as forklifts, and specialized material handling equipment, bale clamp trucks and rotating clamp trucks. Troubleshoot mechanical systems including hydraulics, transmissions, suspensions, air brakes, and electrical systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs involving welding, fabrication, alignment, tire service, and component replacement to ensure equipment safety and compliance. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of all repairs performed. Assist in the assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repair or refurbishment projects. Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete maintenance tasks efficiently. Support equipment upgrades or modifications based on operational needs or safety requirements. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance schedules while adhering to safety protocols. Requirements Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic or service technician with dealership or industrial background preferred. Strong knowledge of powered vehicle systems, and diagnostics Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, alignment, and tire service. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, specalized material handling equipment, bale clamp trucks and other powered equipment Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and diagnostic devices. Mechanical knowledge. Technical training is a plus Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in troubleshooting complex mechanical issues. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within a team environment. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly. This position is integral to maintaining operational efficiency through expert repair and maintenance of industrial vehicles. Pay:
$18.47 - $23.46 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
