Duties Provide comprehensive technical support for automotive workflow software applications, ensuring smooth operation across multiple systems. Troubleshoot software issues, including application errors, connectivity problems, and system crashes, utilizing analysis skills to identify root causes swiftly. Manage computer hardware and peripherals such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network equipment to maintain optimal performance. Configure and maintain computer networks including LAN (Local Area Network), VPN (Virtual Private Network), firewalls, DNS (Domain Name System), TCP/IP protocols, and network security measures like Meraki devices. Support operating systems including Windows, macOS, Linux, and Microsoft Windows Server environments through active management of updates, security patches, and system configurations. Administer IT infrastructure components using tools like SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager), GPO (Group Policy Objects), Active Directory, BMC Remedy ticketing system, ServiceNow, Jira, and network management platforms. Assist with help desk functions by responding promptly to user inquiries via phone or ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira; document incidents thoroughly for future reference. Conduct analysis of system logs and network traffic to identify potential vulnerabilities or performance bottlenecks; implement solutions proactively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network administration tasks including DNS configuration, TCP/IP troubleshooting, LAN setup, and wireless connectivity enhancements. Support the integration and management of mobile devices used within automotive workflows to ensure secure access to enterprise systems. Skills Strong technical support skills with experience troubleshooting software and hardware issues in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in computer management tools such as SCCM, GPO, Active Directory, and BMC Remedy for efficient system administration. Deep understanding of computer networking concepts including LAN/WAN setup, TCP/IP protocols, DNS management, VPNs, firewalls (e.g., Meraki), and network security best practices. Expertise in operating systems including Windows (Windows Server), macOS, Linux distributions; familiarity with their configuration and maintenance. Knowledge of IT infrastructure components essential for automotive workflows—such as network switches, routers, wireless access points—and their management. Experience supporting desktop environments with a focus on customer service excellence; capable of communicating technical information clearly to non-technical users. Ability to analyze system logs and network data to diagnose issues quickly; strong problem-solving skills are essential.
