Heavy Truck Preventive Maintenance Mechanic

Repairs and maintains diesel, and gasoline industrial trucks by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for diagnosing and repairing medium to heavy duty trucks and equipment under minimal supervision.
• Responsible for performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs.
• Responsible for air brake and mixer hydraulic repairs, A/C system, suspension repairs,
• Able to troubleshoot electronic systems, perform basic SCR code diagnostics.
• Have basic computer skills.
• Be able to lubricate truck properly.

EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent Recommended but not required - six months to one-year related experience and or training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organizations.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to conduct instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PAY RATE

$28.47-$38.00 HOURLY

BASED ON EXPERIENCE. OVERTIME AFTER 40 HOURS WORKED. 40-HOUR GUARANTEE

Schedule:

• Monday-Friday, 7am to 5pm daily, but schedule may fluctuate earlier or later due to pour schedules.
• An occasional Saturday (4 hours generally) will be required.
