This role offers an exciting opportunity to get out off of the floor and estimate and sell work and order parts to ensure results through expert diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. You'll be a vital part of a fast-paced environment that values technical skills, customer service, and proactive problem-solving. Whether you're conducting repairs or advising customers on maintenance needs, your contributions will keep operations moving forward with energy and precision. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems across a variety of heavy equipment and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and shock & strut replacements to maximize vehicle lifespan and safety. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately. Repair and fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet precise specifications. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and document repair procedures to ensure compliance with safety standards. Assist in heavy equipment operation when necessary for testing repairs or conducting functional inspections. Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repair needs clearly and advising clients on preventative maintenance strategies. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy equipment mechanics and automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and vehicle electrical systems. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other fabrication tools necessary for equipment repair. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and heavy trucks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining precision during repairs or installations. Excellent customer service skills paired with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
