Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Trailer Chassis Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and heavy equipment operation, with the ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical issues related to trailer chassis. Chassis Repair - Maintenance Technicians are entrusted with repairing containers, trailers and chassis. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet, as well as maintaining high standards of quality in our services. Repair & Replacement work includes but is not limited to; containers, lights, tires, landing legs, brakes and framework.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine/scheduled maintenance on leased/owned containers and chassis Document repairs according to an established reporting system; verbally and in writing Repair/ Replace tires, brakes, lights, landing legs and framework Perform light welding when required (not a must have qualification) Other duties as assigned Proficient in automotive repair techniques, with a focus on trailer chassis systems. Experience with brake repair and tire service for trailers. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is a plus. Strong ability to transmit technical information effectively within the team. Skilled in fabrication and welding processes relevant to trailer repairs. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation principles. Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Qualifications:
