We're looking for a skilled, hands-on, Traveling Mechanic who takes pride in precision, thrives under the hood, and knows how to keep vehicles and equipment operating at peak performance, wherever the job calls. This role goes beyond turning wrenches; it's about supporting multiple locations, keeping assets reliable across state lines, to do preventative maintenance, and powering a company built on reputation, reliability, and innovation. What You'll Do You'll be the frontline defense against downtime: maintaining, preventing, diagnosing, and repairing the vehicles and equipment that keep Andrade's delivering on its promises across multiple locations. As a Traveling Mechanic, you will support fleet assets based out of the Roswell shop while traveling regularly and when needed to Birmingham, Nashville, Orlando, Greenville, Foley, and Huntsville, ensuring reliability, safety, and peak performance wherever operations are running.
You will:
Travel to AL, SC, TN, and FL to perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles and equipment Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, inspections, powertrain servicing, and general mechanical upkeep Diagnose and repair mechanical issues involving engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, alignments, and hydraulic components Safely operate and transport tools and materials using a company-provided truck and trailer Weld or fabricate parts as needed (experience preferred, not required) Assemble and disassemble mechanical components safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards Maintain accurate service logs, inspection reports, and repair documentation—your paperwork is just as important as your hands-on work Communicate clearly and consistently with the Maintenance Manager regarding equipment condition, repair needs, and preventative recommendations Operate forklifts, trailers, and other shop or field equipment safely and confidently Collaborate with other mechanics and site teams to minimize downtime and keep operations running smoothly Work independently while traveling and adapt quickly to different job sites and environments Stay current on tools, technologies, and best practices in mechanical maintenance and repair What You Bring Minimum experience: 1 year or more as a mechanic (automotive, industrial, or similar maintenance experience) Valid CDL Class A Driver's License required Full availability for frequent interstate travel Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and meeting deadlines Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems: engines, powertrains, brakes, suspension, alignment, etc. Experience with shocks, struts, preventative maintenance service, and diagnostic troubleshooting. Ability to read and interpret repair procedures and technical documentation. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus - our fleet crews are multilingual.
