Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with a strong background in diagnosing and maintaining a wide range of machinery and vehicles. This role requires a hands-on professional capable of performing complex repairs, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring equipment operates efficiently and safely. The position offers an opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems, in a dynamic environment that values technical expertise and customer service. Duties Diagnose and repair various mechanical issues on automotive, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and farm machinery using schematics and diagnostic tools Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission servicing Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques Operate and repair heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery Conduct electrical repairs including soldering, wiring diagnostics, and system troubleshooting Repair hydraulic systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, steering alignment, and other specialized systems Utilize power tools and hand tools efficiently for assembly, disassembly, repairs, and maintenance tasks Follow safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure a safe working environment for self and others Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed on various equipment Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair Dealership experience is highly desirable Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for complex machinery systems Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding (including TIG/MIG), soldering, and assembly techniques Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, HVAC systems, suspension components, and tire services Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers effectively and safely Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures for both light vehicles and large industrial equipment Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs Customer service skills are preferred to assist clients with technical questions or service needs This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship and safety standards. Candidates should possess the necessary technical skills to handle diverse repair tasks efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service.
