Sam Leman Automotive is a franchised new car dealer for Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chevrolet, Ford, Mazda, BMW, and Toyota. The opportunity for advancement is unmatched in Central Illinois. Our Express Lube Technicians must be energetic, communicate well, enjoy working with their hands, like a tidy workspace, do well in a fast-paced environment, be a friendly face, and be able to follow policy & procedures. Essentially, they can multitask while keeping the cars and the customers happy! This is a hands-on position for motivated individuals that enjoy working on vehicles. An aptitude for technology is always a plus! Responsibilities An Sam Leman Automotive Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing high-quality vehicle services AND providing top-notch customer experiences. Technician duties include, but are not limited to Delivering a Friendly, Professional, and Efficient experience to each customer at every visit. Commitment to your team, leaders, and to providing exceptional service. Maintaining a positive attitude for an exceptional customer experience and work environment. Being coachable and dedicated to the training processes to preserve company quality and efficiency standards in a fast- paced work environment. Attention to detail when performing inspections and vehicle services. Consistent performance standards. Doing the job 100%, 100% of the time. Taking initiative to keep work areas clean, complete training, and promote a high-quality brand. Effective communication with customers, co-workers, and leaders. Requirements Retail / Customer Service. 1+ years of successful retail and customer service experience is preferred. Time Management 1+ years of successful time management is preferred. Computers 1+ years of computer, hardware and Microsoft Office knowledge and ability to work with POS systems preferred. Sales - Store 1+ years taking the initiative to help increase sales, help improve store profitability and help reduce expenses. Education High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Auto Technical 1+ years of professional automotive or quick lube experience preferred. Mechanical 1+ years of mechanical knowledge and experience preferred. Competencies Alert Aware of pending items and always have a proactive working style. Organized Ability to stay organized each day to maintain quality.
