Automotive Restoration Technician - Classic & Older Vehicles Job Summary Seeking an experienced Automotive Restoration Technician with hands-on experience restoring older and classic vehicles. Candidate must be skilled in metal work, panel straightening, body filler application, and body preparation. Looking for someone who takes pride in quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Responsibilities Restore and repair older/classic vehicle bodies Straighten and align damaged metal panels Perform metal repair, fabrication, grinding, and welding Apply and shape body filler for smooth body finishes Sand, prep, and prime vehicles for paint Repair rust, dents, and structural body damage Maintain accurate body lines and panel fitment Use body shop tools and equipment safely Keep work area clean and organized Work independently and meet project deadlines Requirements Experience in automotive restoration or collision repair Strong metal straightening and panel repair skills Experience with body filler application and sanding Knowledge of welding and fabrication preferred Ability to work on older/classic vehicles Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Reliable transportation and strong work ethic Ability to lift heavy parts and stand for long periods Preferred Experience Experience restoring classic or antique vehicles Experience during metal stage repairs and body finishing Familiarity with custom restoration work and rust repair
