Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Primary responsibility of the technician is to diagnose/repair all types of construction equipment and perform repairs as needed on company owned trailers and trucks. Technician will need to service & diagnose light to heavy duty trucks and make necessary repairs as needed. Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, diesel mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting. Also, includes Preventive maintenance on all equipment. Detection of faults through the use of diagnostic computers, gauges, and instruments in all mechanical systems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines and general machine. Occasional operation of machine in the determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur. Technician will need to have good knowledge of light to medium duty trailers electrical and maintenance. Disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer's specifications though the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and any specialized tooling. Occasional use of basic welding equipment. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Research repair needs and order parts as needed. Clean, paint restore equipment as needed. Field service calls as needed. Maintain a clean organized shop and assist with outside yard maintenance. Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. F-150- F-650. GMC
trucks 2500 - C6500 Ford L8000 Vac-truck. Hitch mounted trailers from 3000 lbs. - 30,000 lbs. Company fleet cars. CAT skid steer and mini Toro CAT & Yanmar mini excavator Vermeer directional drill 9x13 - 24x40 Small gas engines.
SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
High school diploma. Junior college certificate preferred. Minimum of three years as a mechanic required. Work overtime and or weekends if needed. A.S.E. certified in at least two of the basic certification areas or 5 years' experience. Able to follow written and oral instructions. Work record that demonstrates dependability. Able to work harmoniously with construction personnel. Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willing to obtain within 90 days. All hand tools required to perform repairs.
