Job Description
Automotive Technician 1006 West Oak Street, Fairbury, IL 61739 $25
- $30 an hour
- Full-time $25

Full-time Responsibilities:
We are not looking for a lube technician. Job duties might include changing oil, but this position requires diagnostic and repair experience. Preferred General Motors training and experience. Pay is hourly, not flat rate.- Perform automotive repairs and maintenance tasks according to established procedures and guidelines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct inspections and tests to identify any additional repair or maintenance needs.
- Complete necessary repairs, replacements, or adjustments to ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicles.
- Keep accurate records of all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer concerns and explaining repair recommendations.
Experience:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role. Preferred General Motors experience.
- In-depth knowledge of automotive electrical systems, powertrain, and automotive service and repair techniques.
- Familiarity with schematics, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues.
- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify vehicle problems.
- Experience with auto estimating and aligning vehicles is a plus.
