Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on semi trucks Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, suspension adjustments, and tire service to maximize equipment lifespan. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including truck diagnostics and electrical wiring for heavy machinery and vehicle electronics. Operate heavy equipment safely during testing or troubleshooting procedures while adhering to all safety protocols. Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades to ensure proper fit and function. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment repair in dealership or industrial settings. Familiarity with OEM parts and specifications for Caterpillar, John Deere, or similar brands. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. Knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, and alignment procedures. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot electrical or mechanical issues efficiently. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and heavy lifting techniques.
