Job Description
PMR Automotive is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team in Marion, Illinois. We're an independent repair shop that believes in investing in our people, our equipment, and our training. We aren't a corporate chain, and we don't operate like one. We focus on providing quality repairs, treating customers fairly, and giving our technicians the tools and support they need to succeed. We're looking for someone with at least two years of professional automotive repair experience who can confidently perform maintenance and repair work, including oil changes, tires, brakes, suspension repairs, and basic diagnostics. Our technicians also complete Digital Vehicle Inspections, so attention to detail and the ability to clearly document findings are important. This is a flat-rate position paying $20.00 to $28.00 per flagged hour based on experience and ability. We are looking for someone who wants to stay busy, continue learning, and take pride in producing quality work. The right candidate will have their own hand tools, a valid driver's license, and a strong work ethic. ASE certifications are appreciated but not required. We continually invest in training, modern diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and specialty equipment so our technicians can work efficiently and keep up with today's vehicles. Whether you're servicing a daily driver, diagnosing a drivability concern, or performing repairs on newer technology, you'll have access to the resources you need. Our schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After 90 days, employees become eligible for our health insurance plan, paid vacation time, paid holidays, a paid week off between Christmas and New Year's, employee discounts, and ongoing training opportunities.
