About Us New Lenox Auto Care is a premier independent repair shop serving New Lenox and the surrounding Will County area. Whether it's routine maintenance or complex diagnostics, we hold ourselves to a high standard — and we're looking for someone who does too. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated Automotive Technician at the B-Tech or C-Tech or entry level to join our team. The right candidate has hands-on mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to quality work. You will perform maintenance and repair services across a variety of makes and models, working alongside experienced technicians in a supportive shop environment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, tire rotations, fluid services, and brake inspections. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using shop diagnostic equipment. Identify worn or damaged components and complete repairs or replacements accurately. Communicate findings and repair needs clearly to service advisors. Maintain accurate records of all work performed on vehicles. Follow all shop safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace. Participate in ongoing training and manufacturer-specific education as opportunities arise. Qualifications Prior experience in a shop preferred; entry-level candidates with strong aptitude welcome Familiarity with a range of vehicle makes and models. Ability to use standard shop tools and basic diagnostic equipment. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Reliable, punctual, and a team player. ASE certification(s) a plus but not required.
