•Overview Join our dynamic team as a Heavy Truck Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including diesel engines, automated transmissions, hydraulic systems, and general truck maintenance ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on heavy trucks and tractor-trailers using diagnostic software, schematics, technical manuals, and general mechanical knowledge. Diagnose electrical systems, lighting, sensors, and wiring harnesses to troubleshoot complex electrical problems including emission systems. Design and install hydraulic wet line systems and related components on heavy trucks including truck upfitting accessories. Repair and fabricate components using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to resolve mechanical issues efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, suspension adjustments, and wheel alignments to ensure vehicles meet safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and ensure all repairs comply with industry standards. Experience Proven mechanic experience and/or diesel tech education with a focus on heavy trucks; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of technical diagnostics software, diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components and general heavy truck maintenance. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during vehicle maintenance tasks. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
