Job Description

Experienced Automotive Technician - No Weekends, Family Shop Hometown Motors | Pearl City, IL Hometown Motors is a small-town, family-run shop, and we're looking for an experienced automotive technician with attention to detail, good diagnostic skills, and wants to be part of a solid, no-drama team. Hometown Motors has 3 locations, but we're not a corporate chain. We built this place to be different—for our customers and for the people who work here. Our goal is to be the best place for an auto tech to work! If you've been in the industry awhile and you're ready for a shop where your experience actually matters, you'll probably feel at home here.
What the job looks like:
Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles (domestic and import) Handle routine maintenance (oil changes, brakes, tires, fluid services, etc.) Use scan tools and perform digital vehicle inspections (DVIs) Work alongside a team that helps each other out—especially on tougher jobs Keep learning and improving your skills (we're always getting better) What we're looking for: Around 8+ years of real shop experience Strong diagnostic ability (not just parts swapping) Comfortable with scan tools and standard shop equipment Shows up, stays consistent, and takes ownership of their work Easy to work with—no ego, no drama If you cut corners or like bringing negativity into the shop, this won't be the right fit.
