NONE POSITION SUMMARY
: This position performs major and minor repairs/service work to Menards Fleet, consisting of forklifts, cars/trucks, trailers, etc.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
: + Inspect fleet equipment to locate and determine the extent of necessary repair + Repair, replace, and adjust necessary units and related parts + Perform maintenance work to DOT standards for over the road equipment + Perform general overhaul and repair work on gasoline, diesel, propane and battery powered engines/equipment + General repair, welding, and fabrication of fleet units + Perform preventative maintenance work on vehicles including lubrication, oil changes, and annual inspections + Clean and maintain the work area and equipment + Maintain records on all maintenance and repair work performed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
:
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to locate and resolve problems in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of standard practices, equipment, and tools of the fleet equipment trade
  • Knowledge of forklift and automobile mechanical and electrical systems
  • Ability to lift 75+lbs
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
