Job Description

Used Car Technician We are looking for a skilled Used Car Technician to join our team and help ensure our pre-owned inventory is fully reconditioned, safe, and retail-ready. Whether you are a seasoned technician or an up-and-coming A-level tech looking to specialize, Rohrman Auto offers state-of-the-art facilities, strong workflow volume, and ongoing training to help you maximize both productivity and income. This is a great opportunity to build a long-term career in a fast-paced, high-volume used car reconditioning environment. Responsibilities Diagnose, inspect, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems on used vehicles Perform multi-point inspections and complete reconditioning work to meet dealership retail standards Complete all repair orders accurately and legibly, documenting parts used, labor time, and repair notes Identify additional needed repairs and communicate clearly with service advisors and used car managers Ensure all vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for retail sale within required turnaround times Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop and OSHA standards Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving vehicle technology Support team efficiency by helping prioritize workflow in a high-volume used car department Requirements ASE certification(s) preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply Prior experience as an automotive technician in a dealership or shop setting preferred Experience with vehicle inspection and reconditioning work strongly preferred Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software (brand experience is a plus) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple repair orders efficiently Own a set of personal hand tools (specialty tools provided by dealership)
