Full Job Description Automotive Technician Job Description Position:
Automotive Technician We are seeking a dependable and motivated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on automotive repair experience, their own tools, and the ability to perform maintenance and repair services efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
Responsibilities:
Perform oil changes, fluid services, and routine maintenance. Diagnose and repair brake systems, including pads, rotors, calipers, and hydraulic components. Inspect and repair suspension and steering systems, including shocks, struts, ball joints, tie rods, and control arms. Perform four-wheel alignments and make necessary adjustments. Conduct vehicle inspections and recommend needed repairs. Maintain a clean and safe work area. Accurately document repairs and communicate findings with service advisors or management. Follow all shop safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous automotive repair experience required. Experience with oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and wheel alignments. Must own a complete set of basic hand tools necessary to perform repairs. Ability to operate alignment equipment and shop tools. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions throughout the day. Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop environment.
