Job Description
Service Technician Landmark Chevrolet-GMC-Buick is a customer-focused automotive service center dedicated to providing top-notch vehicle maintenance and repair services. We are part of the Landmark Automotive Group of dealerships in Springfield, IL since 1975. We pride ourselves on delivering quality service with a commitment to customer satisfaction. We are currently seeking Automotive Technician/Mechanic, of all experience levels, to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As an Automotive Technician/Mechanic, you will be responsible for the diagnosis and troubleshooting issues and repair, aiming to maximize reliability and functionality. Our entry level technician expectations are a great attitude and a passion/propensity for learning the automotive repari trade. An excellent technician is well-versed in complex mechanical or electronic systems of vehicles and has excellent problem-solving abilities.Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repair on customer vehicles. Diagnose issues and determine the best course of action. Conduct thorough inspections and preventative maintenance services. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and rectify issues. Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction. Keep detailed records of all work performed and parts used. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and guidelines.Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus. Proven experience as an automotive technician/mechanic is highly desirable. Current manufacturers designated certification a big plus. Strong understanding of automotive technology and the latest diagnostic equipment. Ability to handle various tools and heavy equipment. Good communication skills and customer service oriented. Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Physical stamina and strength for handling heavy parts and tools.Benefits:
