Job Description

Apple Chevrolet is hiring for a Journey Man Technician to join our award winning team.
Typical responsibilities include:
Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and computerized vehicle systems. Performing repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems. Using diagnostic scanners and specialized tools to identify vehicle issues. Completing preventative maintenance services such as oil changes, tuneups, and inspections. Testing vehicles after repairs to ensure they meet safety and performance standards. Documenting repair work and communicating findings to service advisors and customers. Following manufacturer specifications and safety regulations. Mentoring apprentices or entrylevel technicians when needed.
Key skills:
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities. Proficiency with computerized diagnostic equipment. Knowledge of modern vehicle technology, including hybrid and electric vehicles. Attention to detail and problemsolving skills. Ability to read technical manuals and wiring diagrams. Excellent time management and customer service skills.
Typical qualifications:
Completion of an automotive apprenticeship or equivalent work experience. Industry certifications (such as ASE certifications in the United States or provincial/state journeyperson certification where applicable). Valid driver's license. Ability to lift heavy components and work in a fastpaced shop environment. An Automotive Journeyman Technician is generally considered a fully qualified technician capable of independently performing complex diagnostics and repairs while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
