Job Overview Join our dynamic team as an Automotive Mechanic and become a vital part of delivering exceptional vehicle repair and maintenance services. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of vehicles, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. Your expertise will help keep our customers' vehicles in top condition, fostering trust and satisfaction. Whether working on gasoline or diesel engines, performing complex diagnostics, or handling routine maintenance, your skills will drive our success forward. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using advanced automotive electrical systems and schematics to identify issues accurately. Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, and other critical components with precision and attention to detail. Execute routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance. Repair and replace auto body parts when necessary, utilizing welding skills and power tools to restore vehicle integrity. Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brake systems, and other specialized automotive features to meet manufacturer standards. Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed for auto estimating purposes and customer transparency. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance across various vehicle types. Dealership experience is highly preferred, especially familiarity with GM vehicles or similar brands. Solid understanding of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair. Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately for complex diagnostics and repairs. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software to troubleshoot effectively. Knowledge of wheel alignment procedures, suspension systems, tire service, shocks & struts replacement, and brake repair techniques. Proficiency with auto estimating processes and customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients. Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in auto body repair or welding is a plus. Valid certification in automotive technology or related fields; ASE certification is advantageous. $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
