In this role, you will perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on a wide range of vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and customer satisfaction. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately across various systems including engine, transmission, electrical, and powertrain components. Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicles, including engine repairs, transmission work, diesel engine servicing, and powertrain replacements. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical layouts for precise repairs. Service advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), including calibration and alignment procedures to ensure safety features operate correctly. Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other specialized automotive tools to execute repairs efficiently. Perform wheel alignments and suspension adjustments to optimize vehicle handling and safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete auto estimating tasks accurately, and communicate repair findings clearly to customers. Skills Proven dealership or service center experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance. Extensive knowledge of automotive electrical systems, schematics, ADAS calibration, transmissions, diesel engines, and powertrain components. Proficiency with automotive diagnostics equipment and software for troubleshooting complex issues. Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics for precise repairs on GM vehicles or similar makes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Service technician experience with auto estimating software is preferred but not required.
